So…2014! Or, Confession Time

Well, how do a start? I suppose, with the humiliating confession that I did NOT knit my stash in 2014! The thing is, I COULD have, if only I had kept to my resolution not to buy or otherwise acquire wool in 2014. You may scoff–but the evidence is there. The pre-2014 yarn that I placed in the bathtub on Dec 30, 2014 fills just about half the tub. The yarn I acquired in 2014 placed on top of that yarn makes the tub overflow!! And I used up a LOT of the yarn I bought in 2014. So, if only I had just used the pre-2014 yarn in my knitting, I’d now be free and clear and stashless. But that’s sort of sad, isn’t it? I did knit a lot of stuff in 2014–blankets, scarves, cowls, hats, food chains! And I finished a lot of projects–still have a rug to finish and a blanket. What does 2015 hold? A new name for the blog for one thing! New resolutions! Don’t laugh when I say that I vow that I will absolutely not buy or otherwise acquire ANY yarn in 2015. I promise, I’ll start getting rid of the stash, because there’s still the fabric stash to blush about.

This is what's left of the original yarn stash.

This is all the yarn I currently have--I acquired a LOT of yarn in 2014.

This is the start of a blanket I began in late December using mostly yarn I picked up in December (some from my sister).

This is the finished blanket, which should look mostly purple and reddish. Used lots of blue, teal, turquoise, purple. I undid what I had started (previous pic) to switch to larger needles.
